Divine matters are God matters, in Him dwells divinity in its purest form if there is any of such qualification in its real sense. Man is a divine product because God Himself gave birth to us through His divine plots and musings. This then implies that if we are to reach our full potentials in our time, we have to find a path to explore our divine attributes. This is only possible by having divine interactions, or simply put, by being able to diagnose divine articulations, which is majorly found in the Holy Scriptures.
The question now is: in the mixture of our carnal interactions and the need to be at par with our divine nature,; where and how do we find this necessary balance? This is the subject of my scrawls in this article.
Job 33:14-17
14: For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not…
How do I perceive or hear what God is speaking? Because even right now as I scribble and you are reading; He is speaking to you and i.
How do I hear His voice?
Or rather: How do you hear the voice of another person in the midst of voices?
Answer: Relationship and listening.
When there is a relationship and you are listening, in the midst of voices you are able to recognize or diagnosticate this particular voice because out of relationship you have gotten familiar to what this particular voice says.
Out of relationship you know the sort of stuff this voice should say. relationship enables you to know the following features of that voice:
Language
Vocabulary
Motive
You need to be able to decipher in God’s voice His language, vocabulary and His entire motive. In order to be able to do this, you must be able to master the skill of listening.
Listening
The only way you can find/see a chameleon in an environment is if you are looking for a chameleon. This is to say that what you see is what you have been looking for. When you are listening to hear God, you will hear Him. But when you are not listening to hear, you will not be able to decipher that particular voice of God.
In listening, there are certain things you should look out for:
What should you expect while listening?
What would you be looking for?
The voice of a man is the man himself; likewise the voice of God is God Himself. So, whatever the features and qualities of God? Because it is in knowing the features and qualities of God that you can identify what you should look out for while listening.
